Ferrari FUV ?

Is Ferrari's decision right about the SUV ?

With other competitors in the race Ferrari has finally decided to make an SUV , which rather they call as the FUV (Ferrari Utility Vehicle). Ferrari has finally decided to move on from its rigid Sports car only approach to a more flexible one. Ferrari swore that it will never make an SUV but the demands of the market are pushing the company to take such a decision, like every other sports car manufacturer has moved in the SUV segment.

   
Ferrari plans to sell about 2k-3k FUV's and they expect this FUV to double the company's profit by 2022. Being 3 years behind from cars like Urus from Lamborghini , they have decide to launch it by 2021. With the Urus entering the market by 2019.


Ferrari FUV is to be priced around 3,50,000$ and Urus in the sub 200,000$ range. Ferrari is changing strategy with the upcoming models by providing a gas- electric option , and is speculated to come with a V8 engine. As reports suggest the FUV will replace the GTC4 Lusso and will be a four door car that is a bigger version of the GTC4 Lusso, which is currently the most practical car in the Ferrari lineup. 

Even though Ferrari has had a slow paced reaction when it comes to building SUV's but we will see how to does in the market when it reaches ...
Though other manufacturers are reaching out to cater demands of their fans , Aston Martin is building a cross over going by the name DBX , again to be launched by 2019,  at 200,000$ with a gas - electric option.

The Ferrari FUV will take on its rivals like the Urus,Aston Martin DBX and the Rolls Royce cullinan
Ferrari has headed in the right direction but is it too late ?
