The Mercedes Hypercar : AMG Project One has been in the buzz for months now , its one of most awaited car when we talk about the upcoming hyper cars. Which also includes the new McLaren F1 and the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
News from certain sources suggests that the car is already made and has been shown to some exclusive customers, but the design is still being tweaked to perfection because apparently some customers didn't like the design.
We don't know much about it but the power train was recently unveiled at the Pebble beach , it will posses a petrol electric plug in hybrid powered by a HV lithium ion battery pack ,we don't know how fast will it go or what will be the 0-60 time or the top speed , but what we do know that it it derives its technology from the F1 technology of Mercedes , its going to be super light and will have more than 1000 HP , that too squeezed from an F1 derived 1.6 litre V6 electrically turbocharged engine.
Project one will cost around 2.6 - 2.8 million $ and will be here by 2018 or early 2019.And when it does it will deliver the dream of every petrol head to deliver the performance of an F1 car on the road.

The hyper car is expected to be a 4 wheel drive and MGU-K (motor generation unit – kinetic) and MGU-H (motor generation unit-heat) functions as part of a complex Energy Recovery System (ERS) mounted around the mid-mounted petrol engine at the rear.
Talking about the gearbox , well Mercedes hasn't said anything about it yet , the engine redlines at 11000 rpm!! but we do know that it will be an 8 speed single clutch automated manual. The full information will be out once the car is fully unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show .
